About the role
As the Strategic Communications Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop a thought leadership content strategy to position Huhtamaki and its executives in line with the 2030 strategic goals and direction. Working directly alongside the GET, you will support both internal and external strategic communication efforts. This will involve managing the commitment plan, creating thought leadership initiatives, and writing speeches.
The role will provide direct support to the President and CEO on both internal and external strategic communications, including managing the CEO’s engagement plan, drafting and executing thought leadership initiatives, and speech writing.
Managing a commitment plan requires a deep understanding of the key elements of strategy and developing a comprehensive plan to engage various stakeholders in its execution. To succeed in this position, strong communication and writing skills are essential. You should possess the ability to see the big picture and translate strategic direction into concrete and inspiring communications.

Work tasks
- Develop a thought leadership content strategy to position Huhtamaki and its executives in line with the 2030 strategy
- Work with all members of the Global Executive Team to identify speaking opportunities and executive position to position us externally as a leading sustainable packaging solutions company.
- Provide direct support to the President and CEO on both internal and external strategic communications, including managing the CEO’s engagement plan, drafting and executing thought leadership initiatives and speech writing.
- Provide support to all Global Executive Team (GET) members on thought leadership initiatives including speech writing.
We are looking for
- Relevant academic educational background (e.g., Master’s degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Journalism, Marketing, International)
- 3-5 years of previous work experience in strategic communications
- Strong communication skills, including content creation and creativity
- Ability to influence and build trust with key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Other languages are considered an advantage.
