Student Recruitment Officer [United Arab Emirates]


 

Job Purpose

The responsibilities of this position are to assist the Head of Student Recruitment in setting and implementing a clear student recruitment plan in order to achieve the recruitment targets. The Student Recruitment Officer (SRO) will be guiding and assisting prospective students through the college and/oruniversity application process; this includes building and managing agents’/Student database, representing the college in related events and coordinating with stakeholders to enhance admissions procedures to be more effective and efficient.

The main objective is to help students make informed decisions about their education and ensure a smooth transition into higher education.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· To support the planning and implementation of student outreach programs (i.e., career fairs, education exhibitions etc.) by coordinating with various agents, school counsellors, university admissions teams and internal departments in a bid to generate student interest in the services and programs.

· To provide advisory services and facilitate students through the admissions process including but not limited to scheduling campus tours, answering queries about academic programs, advising on logistical arrangements, and assisting with all application requirements, documentation and the application process.

· Participate in outreach events and programs such as parent orientations, new student orientations and open houses etc. to promote services in a bid to enhance admission rates.

· Support and guide prospective students with university applications by reviewing, analysing, and validating information and recommending actions for completion of admission requirements in line with the university policies and procedures.

· Responsible for updating and maintaining the enrolment database to ensure all relevant information is accurate and up to date at all times to support the delivery of enrolment services (i.e., school information, school curriculum, contact information, MOU agreements etc.).

· Review prospective students’ applications and guide students on courses of study, financial aid, scholarships, study abroad programs, COOP opportunities, or other related enrolment requirements, as needed.

· Act as a point of contact for prospective student enquiries and ensue all queries are addressed in a timely manner. Schedule and conduct visits to high schools, technical schools, and/or colleges to promote the services and education programs of the university

· Support overseas prospective students with the preparation and submission of enrolment/admissions requirements.

· Assist in maintaining positive working relationships with counterparts, schools, colleges, and partners to support the delivery of outreach programs and enhance student enrolment rates.

· Contribute to the development of promotion and marketing materials/collaterals in preparation for outreach programs to raise awareness of IFG Dubai.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited University

· Minimum of 2 years of working experience in similar role in the Higher Education sector in the UAE.

· Ability to travel (nationally and internationally) and flexible on working hours (Including weekends and evenings if needed on seasonal peaks).

· English Language Fluency, with fluency in at least one other language.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to details, creative, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

· Advanced organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills

· Ability to represent the institute in a professional manner

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
