Job Summary:


The Strategy & Business manger for EY Greater China (GC) will work with EY senior leadership to develop, drive and deliver strategic initiatives to enable our business to capture emerging opportunities in the region. The person will also work to develop GC specific key account strategy that is critically ensuring our teams across the region are empowered to relentlessly focus on winning in the market and to deliver exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:


The Strategy & Business manager role is responsible for the following activities:


  • Lead to develop and implement business transformation strategic initiatives


  • Review and propose improvements for current business processes
    • Ensure that teams are following required policies (compliance controls)
    • Automate internal processes where possible
  • Conduct risk analysis and identify any potential organizational risks; establish safeguard or solutions to present/ encounter the identified risks


  • Evaluate and identify improvements to the team structure to improve performance, and continually evaluate whether the reporting structure best suits our business working environment


  • Establish relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track the performance of our business units


  • Collect and analyse complex business data and produce insightful analysis to assist leadership on decision-making


  • Ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the senior leadership


Knowledge and Skills Requirements:


Language Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, fluent in English and Mandarin is required (Cantonese is a plus)


Problem Solving and Relationship Skills

  • Excellent organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Skilled at establishing and maintaining strong relationships
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization


Technical knowledge

  • Excellent in MS Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc)
  • Working knowledge of MS SharePoint
  • Ability to learn application of software and implement it as a solution
  • Ability to work across several EY tools and technology

Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s degree preferred


Experience:

  • Over 6 years of experience, with 3 or more years’ relevant experience in consulting firms
  • Experienced practitioner in Consulting practice within Big 4, IBM, Accenture, or similar advisory and consulting environment
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
